Founded as a student-led initiative, we connect volunteer tutors with middle school students at Sanjayeon Middle School in rural South Korea through weekly Zoom sessions.
Our name represents our core values — Growth, Language, Opportunity, and World — reflecting our belief that language learning opens doors to global connection and personal development.
Each semester, we partner with Sanjayeon Middle School, a rural South Korean boarding school, to deliver ten structured classes, pairing dedicated tutors with students for meaningful, consistent mentorship.
Each letter in GLOW represents a pillar of our mission — together they guide every lesson, curriculum, and connection we build.
A structured, student-driven approach to English tutoring that delivers real results.
Each middle school student is paired with a dedicated volunteer tutor, creating a consistent mentoring relationship throughout the semester.
Tutors create tailored lesson plans that structure each session and target specific learning goals based on their student's needs and proficiency level.
Ten classes are held each semester via Zoom, providing regular touchpoints that build momentum and track measurable progress.

Sanjayeon Middle School is a rural boarding school nestled in the mountains of South Korea. Many of its students come from under-resourced backgrounds with limited access to English-language instruction and international exposure. Our partnership directly addresses this gap.
Through GLOW, students at Sanjayeon receive consistent, personalized English tutoring from dedicated volunteers — building not only language proficiency but genuine cross-cultural connections that broaden their worldview.
Students and tutors learn from each other, sharing perspectives across the Pacific and building lasting global awareness.
Each curriculum is designed around the specific proficiency levels and goals of Sanjayeon's students, ensuring relevant and impactful learning.
This isn't a one-off event — our semester-long structure builds trust, rapport, and measurable improvement over time.
